The "Fair Use" Provisions outlined in Title 17, Chapter 01 Article 107 of the US Copyright Law states the following:

(2) the NATURE of the copyrighted work;
(3) the amount and substantiality of the portion used in relation to the copyrighted work as a whole; and
(4) THE EFFECT OF THE USE UPON THE POTENTIAL MARKET FOR OR VALUE OF THE COPYRIGHTED WORK.
The fact that a work is unpublished shall not itself bar a finding of fair use if such finding is made upon consideration of all the above factors.
Wind The Clock Back
June 28th, 1540
Hernando de Soto, his 600+ man army and his cartographer(s) departed Chiaha on June 28th, 1540. By all accounts, this date is the one fact they can all agree. Three states in the USA claim to have found the lost city. Tennesse puts the location at the bottom of a really big lake.
By one account, the man tasked with converting the sherpas to christianity took off with a local girl. They ran forty hectares to the north of Chiaha and dissapeared. I love that story.
